Frosty the Snowman

Dad and Tate built a snowman the other day.  Tate was so exited.  I went with Tate to add on the eyes, nose etc.  When we were done Tate started yelling, "Frosty mom, look Frosty".  He then said, " I want to talk to Frosty"!  I told him to say hi, so he did and he stared up at Frosty's face.  I noticed he looked a little frustrated.  He then turned to me and said, "Mommy, turn him in".  Maybe I should have told him that in real life snowmen can't come to life.  But I decided to keep the magic alive and tell him that we needed a magic hat and mommy didn't have one.

Baby it's Cold Outside!

So on Thursday night I got caught in a huge storm while driving. I had never been so scared. I seriously couldn't see one thing in front of me because of the snow. I think I was like the only one who even tried driving up the road to our house because there were no cars on the road going up the hill. I did see plenty of cars pulled over on the side and in accidents though. Luckily I made it home safely and from what I know I only ended up on the wrong side of the road once. I found that out when I hit the curb. Anyway here is all the snow that came during the storm. Some people can't even get out of their driveways, but Matt was out like at 11:00 pm shoveling.

Here is our neighborhood and Home.

This is how high the piles are getting. You can't tell, but I am actually standing inside the pike of snow. I couldn't get on top of it without sinking a bit.

Addie's Blessing

These are about a month old, but I figured they should be shown. Addie was blessed the first of Nov. We had both our families and close friends there. It is so great being surrounded by such wonderful people. It was sad not having Matt's parents there, but it is nice to know they are serving the Lord on a mission in Washington. Tate really misses his Grandpa Snow, Tate is his little minnie me.

Here is a picture of Great Grandpa Ted, (my grandpa),. I love my grandpa. He is the funniest guy even when he is a bit grouchy. I am so glad that Tate and Addie have had the opportunity to meet him. I wish Addie could have met my Grandma, she was one of he neatest ladies I have ever known. In fact Addie and I are both named after her and Addie's dress was actually mine and given to me from my grandma. This is something I am glad that I have to pass down to my daughter and it gives me the great opportunity to introduce her to my grandma and the wonderful life she lived.

All you need is Love!

I love catching Tate and Addie in those sweet brother and sister moments.

This first one is one of my favorite pictures of Tate and Addie together. Tate sometimes just loves to sit by Addie and mimic her.

This is when Matt caught Tate cuddling next to Addie and leaning over and kissing her. So Cute!

We're a little worried....

So the other day we went to play games at my brothers house and brought Tate and Addie. Tate was stuck playing with a bunch of girls and by the end of the night Tate was walking around with nothing but a diaper, some girly boots, and a gold purse. To top that off he kept saying, "Santa's CUTE!". We were a little worried. Actually I am just glad I got a picture to hang on to just in case Tate needs some whippin into shape for acting up as a teenager.... (Matt is going to kill me for posting this, so mums the word)

Our Pets!

So we decided since we probably will never get any pets we will adopt all the deer that come in our yard. We get a herd of them in the backyard sometimes and on Thanksgiving we saw one eating one of our neighbors plants.

Addie's Smile

The Polar Express

My family went on the Polar Express recently. Tate was able to invite a friend last minute because Matt got called away for work. Tate took his good friend Landon. They were so excited when Santa showed up. Too bad my camera wasn't working then. We were able to get a few other pics though.

Mean Mr. Tate!

Ok, so I love Tate more than anything, but he sure got in trouble this last week. Addie was crying and Matt went to make her a bottle. While Matt wasn't looking Tate got a hold of her and wasn't all that nice. Lets just say he was in his room most of the day. As for Addie, by the time I got home she was back to her happy self. I cried though when I saw the bump and scratches Tate had left on her. I think he has learned his lesson.....hopefully!

This sort of brings me back to last year around the same time, when Tate gave me a black eye by head butting me...... Tate really picks on us girls!

Silly Tate

Tate thought his glasses that Great Papa Ted gave him were so funny. He wanted me to keep taking pictures of him.

Best Buds

We have had alot of work done in our backyard recently. Tate was so excited to wake up every morning and see big tracktors right outside our window. He was so sad to hear that the tracktors would be leaving so he and his buddy, Landon (our neighbor), went to say bye. They were so excited when the workers said they could sit in them so we had to get pictures.

Happy Halloween!

So my favorite holiday has come and gone. I love Halloween! Usually I have costumes ready and planned in advanced, but this year I really have struggled being organized with anything. I found Tate's costume at Old Navy and ordered Addie's on-line. I wasn't going to dress up but last minute I put some clothes together to create some 80's rock chick. Surprisingly all the peices of my costume are clothes I wear like everyday......scary isn't it? Well I forced Matt to grab a hat and jeans and call himself a cowboy. He couldn't be the only one with out a costume!
THis was probably our funest halloween together. Tate was just old enough to enjoy it. He would go up to the doors and say, "Give me candy". That isn't exactly what I told him to say......but I geuss he figured it was just as effecttive. We had a hard time getting him to stop. Luckily by now he has forgotten about the big bag of candy we have stashed in our cubbouard. Mom and Dad haven't though!

I took some new photos of Addie that show how much she has grown up!

Muder Mystery Dinner

Our friends put on a Murder Mystery Dinner. The theme was an Italian Wedding. Matt was part of the Mafia and I was the sister of the bride who Matt was suppose to hit on all night. It was so fun. Matt even had fun pretending to be his part. He won't ever admit it, though he did get the Drama Queen Award.

The Big Brother

Tate has been so funny lately. he loves his baby sister and tries so hard to help out. As soon as Addie starts to cry Tate yells, "baby crying", and he is the first to her rescue. He also is so worried that she always has her "Stinky", or that's what he calls her Binky. He is always asking, "Where is stinky"?
Tate also has been fascinated with how baby eats. He will try to tell me he is hungry and try to open up my shirt. I try to explain to him that only baby eats from mommy, but he always thinks I might eventually change my mind. I haven't, sorry Tate! The other day Tate took one of his toy trains and lifted up his shirt, pressed the train to his chest and said, "Look mommy choo choo train eat!".
Off the baby subject Tate is also learning how to get out of eating the food he hates. Just this last week he kept telling me he was done eating, yet he hadn't eatin any of his chicken. I told him he needed to eat his chicken, so he took his water and poured it all over his food, and said he couldn't. We made him eat his watery chicken anyway. Then when he thought he was being sneaky, the next day he tried to dump his food in the garbage with out me seeing and put it back on the table. Then said, "All done".
As much of a challenge that Tate can be he is so funny and I can't help but laugh at him. We love our Tate!

Full House

Life is a little bit more crazy with two. Our home has sort of turned into a big potty for both of the kids. Tate was caught peeing over the stairs the other day and since then would like to try again. Addie of course does not have so much control over her little body. Two nights ago we had the longest night with her. She kept getting hiccups and then she would poop and by the time all that was over she would be ready to eat again. All night the same sequence continued until the last diaper change in which she decided she wasn't finished, and as soon as I took her diaper off she shot at me like a cannon and got me all over the face.....lets just say it wasn't pee. I had to wake Matt up and have him help me, he thought it was pretty funny and by morning time, I did too! It is hard trying to balance two kids with so many different needs, and so many other things all at once. Today I woke up very hungry and went down stairs with Addie to get some breakfast. Matt had woken up earlier with Tate allowing me to sleep in. When I went down stairs I noticed the kitchen quite a mess. I guess daddy Matt had let Tate pour his own cereal this morning and I noticed A small bowl over flowing with Lucky Charms. But there was something missing from that cereal.....? All the marshmallows. Needless to say Tate had dumped out the whole cereal, leaving the box empty and no more marshmallows! so before I ate I had to clean up. Well since that was gone I thought I would have oatmeal and while I was getting that ready I would dress Addie and Tate. By the time I got them dressed and my oatmeal was done and waiting for me at the table, Addie needed a diaper change. I ran upstairs got the diapers and changed Addie. By then I was soooo hungry. But as I turned the corner to the kitchen I saw Tate sitting next to my oatmeal......and he had eaten it all gone. I guess marshmallows aren't too filling. So then I had to make me some more oatmeal.
I have to admit, already life is more exciting with two kids.

She's Here!

Addie Alene Snow was born Sept. 5 at 12:32 p.m. She weighed 6 lbs and 15 oz. Tate is extremely curious and I can tell I am going to ave to keep a constant eye on him. As for now we think he likes her........but only time will tell. Well we are excited and have lots of adjusting to do, so for now here are some new pics and later we will catch you up on more details.

Baby girl room

After finishing Tate’s room I had to move on to the baby’s room. My sister in-law sent me this cute comforter so I decided to develop ideas from that. With only a week left until the baby arrives, I still am not done. As of now though, I am excited with the unfinished results, so I posted a few pics to give family and friends an idea of what’s to come.

To be continued.... continues

So it has been almost two years since I stopped mid sentence of my last post and write, "to be continued". So let's get back t...
