Christmas Day!

Christmas is so fun with kids.  I can;t wait until Addie understands it.  Tate loved coming down stairs and waking up to presents underneath the tree.  Pretty much we just opened presents and relaxed all day ling.  It was GREAT!

Christmas Eve

Every year we spend Christmas Eve with my family.  Matt's family always has there party before the 25, so it works out perfect.  My family always has their Christmas Eve dinner with a selection of soup and salad.  I always look forward to my Aunt Leslie's Cheesy Chicken soup, It is so good!  After dinner we all gather for the Anderson's Christmas Program.  This is where we have stories and music.  We also always include the nativity scene.  Usually Joseph and Mary is always the couple who has the newest baby.  This year it was Matt, me and Addie.  Tate was a wise man, although I think he disappeared and went off to play with toys in the middle of the play?

This year was extra special because Santa Clause came.  This was always the tradition we had when I was young and living at home.  It was really fun to have Santa come back.  Tate especially likes Santa Clause.  He was so excited when Santa walked in the door that he kept tripping over himself to get over to greet him.  Tate was also very anxiouss to get his gift that Santa had in his big red bag.  Every time Santa pulled out a gift Tate was right there to receive it.  As poor Tate's luck had it, he was last to have his gift pulled out of the bag.  It was pretty cute though.  (I have this all on video I just have to figure out how to get the videos on my blog).

Frosty the Snowman

Dad and Tate built a snowman the other day.  Tate was so exited.  I went with Tate to add on the eyes, nose etc.  When we were done Tate started yelling, "Frosty mom, look Frosty".  He then said, " I want to talk to Frosty"!  I told him to say hi, so he did and he stared up at Frosty's face.  I noticed he looked a little frustrated.  He then turned to me and said, "Mommy, turn him in".  Maybe I should have told him that in real life snowmen can't come to life.  But I decided to keep the magic alive and tell him that we needed a magic hat and mommy didn't have one.

Baby it's Cold Outside!

So on Thursday night I got caught in a huge storm while driving. I had never been so scared. I seriously couldn't see one thing in front of me because of the snow. I think I was like the only one who even tried driving up the road to our house because there were no cars on the road going up the hill. I did see plenty of cars pulled over on the side and in accidents though. Luckily I made it home safely and from what I know I only ended up on the wrong side of the road once. I found that out when I hit the curb. Anyway here is all the snow that came during the storm. Some people can't even get out of their driveways, but Matt was out like at 11:00 pm shoveling.

Here is our neighborhood and Home.

This is how high the piles are getting. You can't tell, but I am actually standing inside the pike of snow. I couldn't get on top of it without sinking a bit.

All Dressed Up!

Addie's Blessing

These are about a month old, but I figured they should be shown. Addie was blessed the first of Nov. We had both our families and close friends there. It is so great being surrounded by such wonderful people. It was sad not having Matt's parents there, but it is nice to know they are serving the Lord on a mission in Washington. Tate really misses his Grandpa Snow, Tate is his little minnie me.

Here is a picture of Great Grandpa Ted, (my grandpa),. I love my grandpa. He is the funniest guy even when he is a bit grouchy. I am so glad that Tate and Addie have had the opportunity to meet him. I wish Addie could have met my Grandma, she was one of he neatest ladies I have ever known. In fact Addie and I are both named after her and Addie's dress was actually mine and given to me from my grandma. This is something I am glad that I have to pass down to my daughter and it gives me the great opportunity to introduce her to my grandma and the wonderful life she lived.

To be continued.... continues

So it has been almost two years since I stopped mid sentence of my last post and write, "to be continued". So let's get back t...
